SuperMall Bolsters Patriotism with "An Old Gloryous Celebration"
AUBURN, Wa (May 22, 2007) - - Star-spangled spirit will abound at SuperMall as it joins hundreds of shopping centers across the nation in kicking-off An Old Gloryous Celebration, promoting patriotism and the American flag. The campaign launches over Memorial Day weekend with a community pledge drive to raise the flag across America this Flag Day, June 14 and prepare for An Old Gloryous Celebration on June 9.An Old Gloryous Celebration 2007 - - a national patriotic effort hosted by the International Council of Shopping Centers, Inc. (ICSC) - - is supported by Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and AMVETS (American Veterans), two of the nation’s most prominent veterans organizations.
The community is encouraged to visit SuperMall this weekend to join in the patriotic festivities. Shoppers can pledge their support to fly the flag. Participants will receive a free stick flag.
“Patriotism is alive at SuperMall and we are urging the community to come out over the Memorial Day weekend to pledge to fly the flag this Flag Day and donate DVD’s to Operation DVD, for the troops overseas,” said Bruce Goldsberry, General Manager of the SuperMall. “These simple actions will make a huge impact as our community unites to celebrate Old Glory and the great country for which she stands.”
The pledge drive and Operation DVD will be held through Flag Day when SuperMall will join hundreds of shopping centers across the county for An Old Gloryous Celebration - - a day of patriotic activities in honor of America and U.S. troops and veterans. “This Flag Day, we will see star-spangled spirit throughout the city as Old Glory flies freely,” added Goldsberry.
An Old Gloryous Celebration, a national Flag Day campaign led by the International Council of Shopping Centers, Inc. (ICSC), unites communities in a commemoration of patriotism and the American flag. This year hundreds of shopping centers representing leading developers and individual properties are taking part in the program, including Glimcher Realty Trust.
